For more than a century, the task of machines has been to support people in their work and to relieve them of dangerous work processes. The safety of workers and users is the top priority. When developing machines, the state of the art must always be applied. In an ever-growing technology-based environment, this is becoming more and more of a challenge.
Industrial robots are an increasingly precise and reliable tool for transporting or processing materials. The robot itself or its arms can move at high speed and accelerate fast. If it is a welding robot, special precautions must be taken with regard to the safety of people in the vicinity.
The industrial robot must also be considered as a machine that can be interlinked with other machines. The interaction of the individual machines with the overall system must then be considered and safety objectives must be implemented across the board.
In my work special attention was paid to the requirements for machines in the EU, Japan, China and Russia. As a result, the product has been successfully launched in several markets.
